Mr. Mears - as he was always known to me - was the kindest, gentlest person I think I have known! Because of Patricia- my best friend forever, I got a job at Mears Jewelry and it was the most wonderful experience! I will never forget buying a watch during a Christmas season - you would have thought I owned the best there was! I loved going to Raleigh with Z and JD and Patricia - we would go out to dinner and then to whatever was playng at the Raleigh Civic center. Such wonderful memories...
