Not sure what to say?

Remembering Years shared with Jim at Cleveland Range--sharing the top floor in the 60's. His smile and humor, his gracious nature. Years may come and go but he was a true friend no one would ever forget. Patt Groniick

I am a voice from Jim's past of the 60's. I came to Cleveland from Pgh. and joined Cleveland Range Company developing the test and research department, along with workshops and travel for the company. Jim and I shared the top floor of the building at 63rd and St. Clair for many years.
He was a great guy to work with and a wonderful friend, when I left many years later to go to graduate school, he was happy and supportive for me. We spent one Good Friday battling an ancient sprinkler...

An important common thread runs through the lives of boys who passed through Boy Scout Troop 115 – that thread is Mr. Mecredy. Thanks to him and the other scout leaders, we learned that we can survive just fine in the woods with meager comforts – as a result, we are more confident in our lives, less greedy, and more appreciative of simple graces (such as a hot shower). We learned that intermediate goals, such as merit badges, add up to major accomplishments – as a result, we gained...

My time in scouting was filled with many memories. At the center of those memories was always one individual, James R. Mecredy. I value his...

Thank you for being my mentor. I will never forget you.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome...

To James Mecredy
I am forever grateful for the time and teachings that you gave us
I am honored to be one of your Eagle Scouts, and
I am inspired to live a life of joy, laughter, and service to others.
I try to walk in your footsteps, though I don't think I'll ever match your stride.
