Not sure what to say?

Dear Meyer family,

I am the youngest of the Uhlar family that grew up across the street from "Jimmy". He was always the "adult" and was always so sweet to the little girl across the street. I remember when you were married and what a wonderful match the two of you were.

Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers as you mourn the loss of such a gem of a man.

Dear Mrs. Meyer ('Mom' Meyer), Jennifer, Jacki, & Jill (and family),
I cannot begin to express the sadness that I felt the moment I heard the news. All of you (including 'Dad' Meyer) have taken me in as another daughter/sister for almost 15 years. Your family is truly one of the best families that I know, so loving, helpful, genuine, and of course, fun! On this day of sorrow, I think about all the good times that I have had with your family, there were many, but one that was ever so...

To Sherry and family....

So shocked and saddened to hear about Jim.

Grief is perhaps the most difficult of human emotions to face. It is the cost of having loved. If we had not cared, we would not grieve.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

To the world's greatest family. We are so saddened at the loss of such a great guy! If we could only give you all a hug and help you bear your pain, like you did for us we'd be there in an instant, but as you probably know of my recent surgery, I'm completely homebound We love you and we are praying for your strength to help you cope.

Dear Sherry, Peggy Roberts told me about your husband's passing and I just wanted to send my condolences. You are in my thoughts and prayers. If and when you feel up to it, please contact Peggy and I so we can get together - it's been a long time but it would be nice to catch up and reminise. Donna Freda Freeman

Dear Mrs. Meyer, Jenny, Jackie, Jill and family,

I was so sorry to read about your loss in the paper. Although we have lost contact over the years your father was always such a nice man. One of my fondest memories was a Halloween party you had and he was sitting on the front porch in costume. . . scaring the wits out of all who attended.
My (and my parents) thoughts and prayers are with you.

Our deepest condolences,

Laura (Dahms) Gallo

I was saddened to hear of Jim's passing. He always had an encouraging word for the younger officers in the district and always took time to teach them. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Dear Meyer Family,

I am so very sorry to hear of Jim's passing. As a new police officer in the 019th District, he was very good to me.

I worked with him on days for a few years and used to bake for the watch. When I went to work afternoons, he made me promise to continue to bring baked goods on the days that I had court, which I gladly did. His smile will be greatly missed.

May your memories of Jim bring you comfort at this sad time.

Eileen O'Donnell, CPD-079

Dear Sherry, girls and the family,
I was so shocked to hear of Jimmy's passing. You all have my sympathy and prayers. I know you will find comfort in each other and in knowing that there are many of us that will be available for anything you need.
Love to all of the JM's from me
