We had the privilege of meeting Jacques many years ago in Chapel Hill. He was one of the most amazing individuals, inspiring, genuine and a true patriot. One of this worlds finest. A true role model. I was saddened to find this obituary for Mr Michienzi. I work at Whole Foods in Chapel Hill where I met Mr Michienzi many years ago. We had many chats about his fly fishing trips to Alaska, and his military career. He was such a positive and caring man. He was in his late nineties when I last saw him in the store. He was a fascinating man to have known. May he rest in peace

Another great American Patriot and distinguished soldier now lies in honored glory as God's newest angel. Colonel Michienzi's selfless service to our great nation certainly inculcates the moniker "Duty-Honor-Country." His heroism is replete with three awards of the Combat Infantry Badge, Airborne and Ranger Tab coupled with every military valor award up to the Distinguished Service Cross; that says it all.
