Not sure what to say?

Hello, I recently read about Technician James Miller's service in WW II in the New Yorker, including his participation in the liberation/rescue at Nordhausen, Germany. My own father, Ben Hinsdale, servied in the Army's 104th Infantry ("Timberwolves") Division during that same operation. I noticed the article noted that, like my own father, Technician Miller, didn't much burden his children with the details of his wartime experiences. I've no doubt that they both served well. I can only...

To the Children of Mr. James,
My name is Loretta Tamba, of Fort Walton Beach, FL. I just finished reading the article, about your dads passing, from my Yahoo News. I quickly grabbed my dads separation papers, my mother has so meticulously saved. My dad also served and survived Normandy, going in on Omaha Beach. He was born in 1923 and separated the same year, as your father in 1945.
I scanned to see if I recognized your dads face in pictures. I just want to say, your father lived...

I read about Mr. Miller in the New York Times. He reminded me so much of my father. My daddy served with the Big Red One and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He didnt express many words about his experiences during WWII, either. But I want to thank these men for their service to our great nation, and I thank God for blessing usyou, me and our individual families-with fathers who were men of great character and faith.
I am very sorry that you could not be with your dad when you...

To the miller family so sorry to hear of your Dads Passing . Your dad and mom were such a nice couple. I would call them the newly weds . May he rest in peace.

We will always remember the wonderful man who was married to a lovely lady. He worked with us at Allen Lawnmower . Sonny and Ann McLean

Hello Miller Family, I was able to get to know your father very well growing up through my dad on the Fire Department. And several times each year we were at your house to get the lawnmowers or snowblowers fixed... Mr. Miller was a very kind man and a gentleman.

Workedwith Jim on the West Springfield Fire Department back in the 1970's and 80's. Jim was a great worker and a real gentleman, well like by his fellow workers.

Dear Linda and family,
So sorry to read about your Dad.
My thoughts are with your family.

Please accept my deepest condolences to the entire family I was saddened to hear of the loss of Jim, and miss his easygoing manner since I left the Soldiers Home. He was always one of my most loyal participants and made all our daily activities feel worthwhile.

He will be deeply missed... carry good thoughts with you because he lived a good life full of joy. I know that I will always do the same.
