Mrs. Mitchell, Susan, Anne, and Lynn-- My Mom and I were very sorry to hear of Jim's passing. Our prayers and sympathy are with you.

Jim was the best brother in law a girl could have growing up and I loved him with all my heart. I remember going to stay with them during the summers and the beautiful barbie doll that I allowed him to name for me... "Dizbomb Zabario"...yeah I should have known better, haha. He was a brillant kind hearted man and I am sorry my son did not get to know "Uncle Jim". Hugs and love to Heaven big bro...I know you are up there with my Daddy at the Margaritaville in the sky. My prayers are with the entire Mitchell Family. Jim had such a crazy sense of humor..remember “Roger, the Wonder Snake”??. I'm blessed to have so many wonderful childhood memories shared with the family. My heart is saddened by your loss, but I know that Jim is at peace.

I have such fond memories of my Uncle Jim. He could make you laugh until your cheeks hurt! It warms my heart tremendously to hear what an impact he had on the lives of others. I miss you everyday, Uncle Jim. Love, YLG

I'm heartbroken by this news. Mr. Mitchell was the teacher who made me the person I am today. The most important thing I've learned in life is to be unafraid to be skeptical, even if it puts you in the minority. I owe most of my successes both in academia and in life in general to this framework, and thus owe a great deal to Jim Mitchell. These are words I wish I could have said to him in life, but I can only hope his family will read this and know that I was truly touched by this brilliant...
