James "Jim" Mitchener IV

On behalf of all the staff at Wilderness Adventure, we are so very heartbroken to hear of Jim's passing. He worked with us for a short stint after he took some time off from nursing. Even in that brief time, he made quite an impression... his unparalleled laugh, his willingness to reach out of his comfort zone, and his calm, cool, and genuinely present nature. We are just so sorry albeit grateful to have been touched by his sweet soul. Thank you for coming into our lives, Jim. See you before...

Our Dear Cousin Jim, We are so sad. We will always remember you and your kind nature. Give your mom Cary a big, long hug for us. We love both of you so much and we´ll miss you immensely.

So sorry for your loss. Haven´t seen Jim in years but always loved it when I did get to see him. Especially fond memories of being at Roanoke County Club pool.

I´m heartbroken about this news. Jim was an incredibly bright personality, with an infectious laugh and a distinct ability to connect with people from all walks of life. He was an incredible musician. I had the pleasure of playing music and golf with him for many years. Rest In Peace, my friend. I´ll remember out times together fondly

I worked with Jim a few years ago when I was in Roanoke. Loved his laughter and sharp wit. I am so sorry to hear this sad news. Peace to his family....
