I worked for Jim and Esther in 1983-85 in their Dayton Mall Store. They hired me to be the assistant manager at a time when I was looking to stay in the retail music business, but make a fresh start in a new city. They both were wonderful bosses and trusting owners. Jim was straightforward, honest, kind, and very smart. A terrific role model for a 20-something kid who was learning to become an adult.
