This is truly sad news, especially at a time when we are all getting together with friends and family to celebrate the holidays. A time for reflection, as I’m sure this news has taken us all back 30 years when we knew James well. My husband and I knew James for many years when he worked at the original Kirkwood Massas. Every Friday evening my bloody mary would appear just as I liked it. James was a good friend who always made everyone feel special. He always kept us up to date on what was going on in his family (who he absolutely loved and adored). We missed him, his smile and his laughter when he left Massas. Occasionally we would run into him around town but Friday night dinners were never the same without...

We will miss James very much. He was a wonderful raconteur always with a new story to tell on Sunday nights at Massa's.
