Not sure what to say?

J."Roaringham" Monk was my fellow Sandy/Firefly Buddy at NKP. We flew several strike missions and a couple of Sandy Missions together. One strike in particular in the "North" resulted in both us being shot up pretty good...but you should have seen the other guy... J.R.M. wishes for fair weather/tailwinds on flight West....Throw A Nickle On The Grass.

Jim and I were in the same A-1 class at Hurlburt in 1969, our port call dates were almost the same, we lived next door for a year, and we flew together several times. He was an outstanding man, the best pilot, and a real role model. The world is a lesser place without Jim Monk.

Jim and Shirley were my next door neighbors for several years. Both were special people, always willing to help, and perfect neighbors. Jim was a community leader, a military hero, and a Special person. He will be missed by everyone who knew him. God Bless and Rest in Peace Jim.
