Coach Moose recruited me to play baseball in the late 80s. He was instrumental in my life in what it means to "pay it forward". I was a kid that could have made a lot of bad choices but he took me into his home, I became Jason, Jimmy, shawn, Steve and Dean. Playing waffle ball to Board game Risk. Carleen, Joel, Eric, Matt, I am so sorry for your loss. Jim was such a sweet man. I loved his quirky sense of humor. I will forever cherish the memories or working in the haunted house. So many great memories.

Mr. Moose, I will never forget all of the wonderful conversations we had when I was just a teenager finding my way. You are one of the sweetest men that I have ever met, and you were always there to offer advice and listen with a gentle ear. You will always hold a special place in my heart. My condolences to the entire Moose family

Pops was a great man! I always enjoyed the haunted houses and walking in the parade. Mr. Moose you will be greatly missed. Your passion for life and your baseball knowledge is unmatched. My deepest condolences to the Moose family.

I was fortunate to meet Jim through his business, The Buyers Guide. He would deliver, a stack of the papers to my Lee's Famous Recipe Chicken stores beginning in 1976. He was a very likable man whom I will miss.

Carleen and Family, My deepest sympathies to you all. He was a pillar of the baseball community in the Muskegon area. He will be deeply missed. This one phrase will stick with me till I die. When pitching to him at Marsh Field he would say " just one more pitch". I will miss you Moose!!!

Mr. Moose will always be remembered by many Lakeside kids! He was an amazing man!! My heart goes out to all of his Family as they navigate through this new life...
