I was playing trumpet with a former classmate at the SUNY Albany graduation when he informed me of the death of Mr. Mosher. I was very saddened to learn this news. Three of us in the trumpet section were students of Mr. Mosher. Mr. Mosher was a huge inspiration to me as a musician, as a teacher and as a person. He believed in me and pushed me in ways that were positive and rewarding. Without his guidance and support I ever would have accomplished the many things I did on my trumpet. My days...

Mr. Mosher was one of the most influencial teachers I've been associated with. As an OCC student,'69-'71, my major was trombone. I particularly enjoyed performing under Mr. Mosher in the OCC Brass Sinfonia. He will be sorely missed. Pete Mark, OCC Class of 1971.

When I applied to O.C.C in 1970 I auditioned for the music dept. as a percussion major. Mr. Mosher was the man who auditioned me. I had two snare drum pieces prepared and he asked me if that was all I had, and I said "Yes". He got a kind of concerned look on his face, and knowing that I had no experience with any other percussion instruments, I somehow convinced him to accept me into the program. What I learned at O.C.C. while he was Chairman of the Music Dept. has been invaluable to me all...

Mr. Mosher had a huge impact on the way I now view life and the world.

MR.MOSHER....JIM...WAS MY REASON FOR WHAT I HAVE DONE ALL MY LIFE. WHEN I WAS 8 YEARS OLD I STARTED MY FIRST TRUMPET LESSON WITH MR. MOSHER AND HE HAS CONTINUE TO TEACH ME NOT ONLY TRUMPET LESSONS BUT LESSONS ON LIFE FOR OVER 50 YEARS. JIM GAVE ME MY PASSION...THE LOVE OF MUSIC AND HOW PRODUCE IT.
