My cousin Jim use to take me fishing all the time in Hettinger in addition to rides on the back of his motorcycle which, we often tipped over! We never told Charlie. I also joined band in high school and played tried to learn the trumpet. Our mothers were attached at the hip, a day seldom goes by where I don´t reference Gertie. Our thoughts are with all of you.

It is my hope that Mr. Muck's family is comforted during this time of loss and know that he was a wonderful influence in the lives of so many students. Mr. Muck was instrumental in my decision to major in computer science and math. After many years of education and numerous teachers, he always remained my favorite and the one who influenced my future career the most. And then there was the time we ran into each other while skipping school to go salmon fishing. Nothing beats a great teacher...

My sincere condolences to the family. Mr. Muck was a hallmark of high standards in the math department at Rainier Union High School for many years. He was also instrumental in pioneering the infusion of computers into the curriculum, while I was a student at RUHS. I can still remember the old HP card-reader computer that was in Mr. Muck's ALG I classroom in the annex building located off of the old Rainier Union High School building. This computer would serve as my first introduction to...
