Mr. Mudra was a very sweet and happy man. He always had a minute for us to stop and talk and of course do his teasing. He had a kind heart and was always ready to help.

Jim receives his medals from the Korean War

In 1950 Jim Mudra was working for Commonwealth Edison in Chicago. Recently married he was drafted in 1951 to serve in the Army for the Korean War. Jim joined the 45th Infantry division in Korea while his wife Genevieve, gave birth to their first child.
Jim's organizational abilities and his knack for getting the job done saw him quickly promoted to Tech Sergeant in charge of supply to the front lines. All kinds of equipment, including ammunition for both infantry and artillery were...

Jim was a good friend and neighbor, I met him through being on the Village of Ringwood Board he was a hard working good man I do miss him and his humor rest in piece my friend fron all the Bauers in Ringwood.
