Not sure what to say?

We miss you. You were an amazing professor. I will never forget your kindness and love of teaching. Sending prayers to the family.

Jim is missed by many and I am so sorry for your loss and ours. He was the best professor I ever had the privilege to know and once told me privately that for someone to succeed, given my disabilities and circumstances, meant even more than someone without my complications and road blocks. Jim always made sure I had the accommodations that I needed and acted as an advocate even thou he wasn't my adviser. He went out of his way to reach out to me and stood by me. He did not feel pity for me...

I am so sorry for your loss. He was so compassionate and taught me so much. He changed my life forever with his compassion. He was a great teacher who cared about us for years after we graduated.

Dr. Murphy was a wonderful professor, and a caring compassionate person. He will be missed by every student that had the pleasure of learning fom him.

Dr. Murphy was top notch. He truly embodied the empathy that should be a part of the counselor's repetoire, and will truly be missed. He helped many people. I was very saddened to hear of his loss. Thoughts and prayers to his family.

Dear Fran, My heart and prayers go out to you. May your deep faith give you special comfort sat this time.

Jim was more than my teacher, he was a powerful influence and mentor in my life. I'll always be grateful for having known him. So sorry for your loss.

Dr. Murphy was my favorite professor at Rider when I was getting my Master's in Reading/Lang. Arts in 1995. Not knowing, I saved the best for last...for it was my final course. Jim was so knowledgeable, approachable, kind, and humorous. He loved his subject matter and all the special children he taught. A job well done, Jim. May you rest in peace.

Jim Murphy was one of my nicest and kindest colleagues. He had a smile and a giggle ready to cheer. His devotion to his Yankees mirrored the support he representatives to faculty and students. He loved his family and smiled whenever they were mentioned. athe mold is broken.
