Not sure what to say?

I was his secretary on Staten Island in the 1980's and know what a wonderful man he was. Obviously lost touch when I remarried and moved to the west coast. Only recently became aware of his passing and want to send sincere condolences to his family. He was a joyful man and I have fond memories.

Great guy and a class act all these years.....Rest in peace Mr.Murphy, see you down the path..,...

I LOVED him saw him in Snug Harbor in The Fantasticks..what a great singer, we had MANY chats about singing in court room lol when I was working in the Ct section doing arraignments, God rest his soul the sweetest man

A wonderful gentleman with a large sense of humor. A lawyer who every other lawyer liked and respected. They dont make them lime him anymore.

So sorry we lost touch, Jimmy! I can say for certain that my brother, Joe, lived you til the Lord took him on Christmas morning, 2016! Love to Terry and your family!

I will greatly miss Jim's bubbly presence at our Most Holy Redeemer parish. It was always a pleasure when he would be the cantor at our Sunday Mass. We went on several St. Vincent DePaul Society client visits together, and he was a member of the Society for many years. It must have been God's will that it was time for Jim to join him in heaven after putting in 80 wonderful years on this earth.

We Metz Jimmy through Linda and Steve Davidson several years ago. We were blessed to have known him. Enjoyed every moment of our time together with him and his beloved Terry. ❤❤❤

Such a sad loss to your family. You leave a huge gap in their lives Jim and we know you will never be forgotten. God bless.

In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always.
