I didn't know him well, but after my father moved to CT from MD and subsequently passed away my family and I were in need of a local Masonic Lodge to perform the funeral services which I knew would have meant a lot to my father. Of course, without hesitation and without knowing us, Mr. Nankin agreed to go to Portland, CT and do the honors along with a few if his fellow lodge members.
