Dear Jim, Dale, & family:

I was deeply saddened to learn of James' death. All of us were looking forward to skiing with him again this winter, and of aiding in his remarkable progress. We had some great fun together. Please know that we in the HoliMont adaptive ski program will always remember him, and that you and he are in our thoughts.

I was planning to write even before today's service but wanted to tell you how much I remember about James as a young boy. Even in the darkest moments of our discovery of Jack's limitations, we would walk in the classroom they shared and be greeted by the most loving, smiling hello from James...and of course those magical hugs that were discouraged but the two of them continued to do so anyway. I work with Jack Desmond and have observed James through the years. He always seemed very happy and so loved. I am so sorry for you loss.
