James A. Neiley, 93, of Bangor, PA passed away Sunday, April 28th, at Slate Belt Health and Rehab. Center, Bangor, PA.


James was born in Sayre, PA on September 7, 1930, a son of the late Alfred and Catherine (Brennan) Neiley.


He was the husband of Lois M. (Shrimp) Neiley. They would have celebrated their 73rd wedding anniversary this coming August. James was employed as a cable splicer at the former Commonwealth Telephone Company in Bangor, PA, for 40 years. He was a member of the former Bangor VFW and enjoyed hunting and fishing. James served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.


He was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Bangor, PA.


 In addition to his wife Lois, James is survived by a daughter, Priscilla Tuske, husband of Joseph, a son, Andrew Neiley, a brother, Robert Neiley, wife of Mary, 2 grandsons Joseph and Michael Tuske, and two great-grandchildren Graham and Elise Tuske. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter Crystal Neiley, and two sisters Patricia Stephenson and Margie Hulsander.


Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Interment will take place at Bradford County Memorial Park, Towanda, PA. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Gaffney Parsons Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., "Village of Johnsonville" Bangor, PA. Online condolences may be offered at gaffneyparsons.com.


In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 2445 Lake Minsi Drive, Bangor, PA 18013.
