NELSON, James Ashley, 68, of Richmond, Va., departed this life on May 15, 2008 as a result of injuries sustained in an accident. Jim was preceded in death by his mother, Lucille Nesbitt Nelson; his father, Newton Henderson Nelson; and brother, Thomas Mason Nelson. He is survived by his loving daughter, Sara-Alyse Elizabeth Nelson of Powhatan; sisters, Frances N. Elko and husband, William, of Chester, Jane W. Ford of Colonial Heights; brother, Robert N. Nelson Sr. and wife, Shirley, of Colonial Heights; and several nieces and nephews. Jim was a retired electrical engineer and a graduate of Virginia Tech. Jim will always be remembered for his devotion to his daughter and family. James' ability to love completely and give even more than he had to others will always be an inspiration to his beautiful loving daughter, Sara-Alyse, who will eternally love him and will always be his shining star and most special "Boo-Boo Baby". The family will receive friends at the Chesterfield Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home on Monday, May 19, 2008, from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will follow there on Tuesday, May 20, at 1 p.m. Condolences to the family may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com.
