Grand-pa. I miss you so much. i hope you are through with the pain and suffering. you were a true inspiration. i remember even when it was 2.0989 degrees outside, you would still be hunting. And you always had a smile on your face. I hope that one day that i will get to see your face again. I love you.

Grandpa,
I just wanted to write to you and let you know that I miss you with all my heart, although it aches worse now than it ever has before. You were my favorite great grandpa, and my only great grandpa! :) There are so many memories of you in my mind, and so many moments in my heart that I shared with you. You will NEVER be forgotten by me, and hopefully soon we will meet again. Just remember Grandpa, you are in my heart and I can't wait to see your smiling face when I meet you on...

hello, everyone, I am so sorry to hear about James, Nina, Susie, brenda and everyone you are in my prayers, love Tammy Hyatt and Family (Tammy Jarman)

I hated to hear of your loss. I remember visiting Aunt Nina and Uncle James in Roanoke as a child. I remember the bees that he loved so much and the wonderful honey he would give us. He truely was a wonderful man. Love you all...

Didn't know James very long. It was a big thing when he and my dad (Ed Nichols) found each other (cousins they never knew). But it was so nice getting to know James, he will be missed very much.

My dearest Paw Paw, my eyes miss your face, in my heart you will allways have a special place. My heart pines to hear your voice and feel your touch. Paw Paw I love you so much. Fly away home Paw Paw, fly away home. . .

To the family of James: You all don't know me - I'm Wallace's daughter. I wanted to let you know how much I thought of James. I enjoyed his visits at daddy's house. Even when he was too weak to get out of the car he would still stop to visit and dad would get a chair and sit by the car and they would talk. He talked about his family a lot and I know he loved you all very much. He sure will be missed in the Thaxton area. I'm praying for you all.

Nina, Brenda, Jimmy, Susie and Sandy,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this sad time. James was a wonderful man and he always made us feel welcome and loved.

I remember the times you all come to GA. on the way to Fla. and we all had such a great time. Memories are vivid of when we come to VA. and he would show us all of his fruit trees and we would laugh for hours with you all. I was so glad to get to see and talk with James at the last reunion we came to. Although we...
