Not sure what to say?

I'm Sorry that I only heard the news now. I also knew James from his Internet presence on e60.net. He was always the 'voice of reason' and was passionate about his car, his guns, but most importantly his family and 'what is most important'. Some of his thoughts (via postings, but not car-related) will remain with me for as long as I'm on this earth.
For those of you who personally knew James, you were the lucky ones! He was a Special Person!!

To a fellow e60.net member the place that you rest now is the only place more comfortable than a e60 BMW the news was shocking as I logged on to the board today, I wish your friends and family heart felt condolences and thru the questions be assured that he is with our father be blessed.

I was very, very, sorry to hear of Jim's passing. I'd known him when he was an NRA director, and stayed in touch thereafter. He was a good and great man, and did much to encourage me when my projects seemed to be faltering. I am honored to count him among my friends.

Sounds like our community has lost a true gentleman. I am sorry to say that I never had the opportunity to meet/chat with him. I would have liked to thank him for his service to his country in WWII. My sincerest condolences to his family. My prayers are with you.

Eternal Father, strong to save,
Whose arm hath bound the restless wave,
Who biddest the mighty ocean deep
Its own appointed limits keep;
Oh, hear us when we cry to Thee,
For those in peril on the...

Jim and I were internet buddies for about 10 years. Our mutual interest in shooting and the Texas State Rifle Association made for interesting "talks" on the 'net. I'll miss his humor and wisdom and willingness to help any that asked.

I didn't know JDN personally but was introduced to him through the BMW forum. He contributed so much and he will be greatly missed. All of us at the forum offer our deepest condolences to his family and friends. Our prayers are with you. God Bless.

In addition to being a great shooter and instructor, what a wonderful all-around man Jim was!

My condolences to the family. Texas owes Jim a debt of gratitude for his dedication to the TSRA and his hard work on behalf of all Texans.

I extend my deepest sympathy to the Nicholson family on their loss. I never met Jim but did converse by e-mail with him a few times. The State of Texas is also showing a loss with Jim's passing. We could not have reached the state of freedom we are currently at without his help.
