I have known Jim for over 40 years and dealt with him professionally in my job as a media specialist at Fairplay Middle School.. I remember him as a caring, passionate dedicated individual. I, as a media specialist, could depend on Jim to be there if I needed him in an emergency when technology challenged me. His exit line was always, always.... "Keep smiling". He will be missed.

Jim was very generous in a number of ways, always quietly with little fanfare. Also, anyone in the Atlanta area who followed amateur baseball in the 1950s and 60s knew there was no better fastball hitter in Atlanta than Jim (with the possible exception of Henry Aaron).
