The Rev. James O'Brien

I was very sad that Fr O´ Brien passed. I met him in 2006. He encouraged and trained me to be an EMHC. Later he agreed to be my Spiritual Director and finished my training of praying the Liturgy of the Hour. At my request, he supported and encouraged me to start and taught a small group of parishioners to pray the Morning Prayer. The group continued the prayer until the pandemic of COVID19 in 2019. With the grace of God, May his soul rest In Peace.

Fr. O´Brien was my principal at Our Lady of Lourdes until I graduated in May 1978. He was a great, principal, teacher, mentor, priest and human being. May he Rest in Eternal Peace.

Subtle humor, true concern, abiding faith, love of the holy family - his legacy will live on in those he mentored. Pax vobiscum.

Fr. O'Brien was my principal at Lourdes Regional in Shamokin.He was well liked and deeply religious priest. God bless his soul!

Father O´Brien was a wonderful man. I will never forget helping him start Saint Katharine Drexel parish. It was very enriching and we had a wonderful time working together. He will always have a place in my heart. My sincerest condolences go out to his family. He is in a very wonderful place now.
