Peppler Funeral Home - Allentown Obituary

James W. O'Brien, CPA, 45, passed away suddenly on June 11, 2025 at his home in Chesterfield Township, NJ.  Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was an honor society graduate of Pemberton Township High School Class of 1998, a delegate for Jersey Boys State, and a graduate of the University of Connecticut where he was a competitive swimmer winning a Big East Division medal.  He worked as an accountant for various healthcare companies including Virtua, Lourdes and McKesson Pharmaceuticals, Director of Finance for healthcare companies, 2008-2014, VP of Finance for Fox Rehabilitation, 2008-2014, and VP of Finance for Blessings and Bedrock, 2022-2024.  He loved to swim and enjoyed rooting for the Philadelphia sports teams.  He was always watching the UCONN men and women Big East basketball games, rooting for his alma mater. He will be deeply missed.


He is survived by his parents, James and Brenda O'Brien of Chesterfield; his son, James T. O'Brien of Township of Washington; his two daughters, Ashley Nicole and Alyssa Drew O'Brien, both of Chesterfield Township; his brother, Christopher O'Brien of Marion, NC; his grandfather, James O'Brien of Pemberton; his grandmother Lorene Johnson of Mays Landing and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.


Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 am Friday, June 20 at Mary, Mother of the Church, 45 Crosswicks St, Bordentown, NJ.  Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.  Family and friends may call on the family Thursday evening from 6 to 8 pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St, Bordentown, NJ.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to his children's education fund using Zelle [email protected].
