Not sure what to say?

Very sad to hear about this just today. We were great buddies during some very good years at Bell Labs in the early 1990s.

Dear Maggie - Very saddened to hear of the passing of James. We knew each other through working in the photonics industry and it was always a pleasure to meet him and talk, especially over lunch in Dublin. He was a very knowledgeable man on many subjects from photonics to the architecture of Dublin. I will miss him.

Dear Maggie, Mairead and Michael,
I was very saddened to hear the news of James' passing. James was a wonderful person. I always enjoyed meeting and discussing with him. We had many discussions at Eblana and, later, I never missed an opportunity to meet him at the Old Orchard Inn in Rathfarnham. James was always full of energy, enthusiasm and ideas. He made a huge contribution to the development of photonics in Ireland and he leave a strong legacy to the Irish academic community. James...

I have just heard the very sad news of James' passing. I knew him in an Eblana work capacity. I was his marketing advisor or should I say James was my physics teacher! He loved to spend time drawing diagrams on the white board so that I could truly under the complex nature of physics (which was never my strongest suit). I never wanted to own up to being non the wiser but I marvelled at his intellect. What a character and most importantly what a generous and kind man. My deepest sympathy to...

Dear Maggie, Mairead and Michael I have just heard your sad news. I have wonderful memories of James during your time in Orchardstown Drive. Please know that we are all thinking of you at this time. With deepest sympathies. Caragh

Dear Maggie, Mairead and Michael,
So very sorry to hear this news. Your husband / dad was an inspirational character that left his mark on all of us who were fortunate enough to have worked with him here at Eblana. He was a dedicated driver of the company for many years whose commitment to work was balanced with a tremendous sense of humour. Your loss must be immense.
Chris.

Dear Maggie,
It was shocking and sad to hear about James. I knew him from both Kevin Street and Trinity and also afterwards through Photonics. I loved his irrepressible energy, his openness, his curiosity and enthusasism and his ability to hold forth on any subject. My deepest sympathies.
John

Dear Maggie
I was saddened and shocked to hear of James's death. I always enjoyed to meet and interact with James. He was always so full of energy and enthusiasm, with some of the most wonderfully imaginative ways of describing problems he was working on. James leaves a great legacy through Eblana and his wider interactions. Ni bheidh a leitheid ann aris. Please accept all my thoughts and sympathy to you and your family.

I only knew James for a short time before he left Eblana Photonics but as a current member of Eblana I would like to say that the great company he founded continues to grow strongly. His legacy is immense here.

My sincerest and heartfelt sympathies to Maggie and family.
