Not sure what to say?

James was a compassionate and kind man. I am very grateful to have known him. His last word to me was "peace".

Dear Ed,

I'm so sorry for your loss and wish you and your family a smooth transition through this most difficult time.

I was reacquainted with Jim this year in February at the gathering at your home.

I enjoyed our conversations that day and realized what a good and peaceful man he was.

My sincere condolences

Yours truly,

Stephen Penna

Eddie, so sorry to hear about Jim. As you know we went to high school together and he worked with my brother in law Paul Fuller at Putnam for a while. Hoping time will heal the sadness for you and your family.

Mr.Obrien, Eddie and Joan, let the memorial on Saturday assure you of the many people Jimmy has touched. Truly a amazing turnout for a truly amazing guy.Hanging out with Jim,whether it be building Mustangs, fishing, whitewater rafting, etc., he was always good company. At the memorial, I never knew how many activities he was into. Not seeing him in quite a while, I now understand why. Reading the posts on npmb.com from all his paddle buddies (and from himself)bring tears to my eyes (again), as I...

Jimmy lived life to the fullest and left us doing just that. He taught each of us to live life as your best day, every day. We will miss him and yet keep him in out heart. Condolences to all his family and friends, which he considered us all part of the family. Putnam HS

From when boating began for us at Zoar Outdoor many years ago. Two great learning weekends for a couple of rookies they were. The joy my son had watching you play on the Little River releases. Don't forget Indy working on the pit crew at 9pm when all of a sudden the voice of an era rang out "How's it going guys?" when we met commentator Chris Economaki. I'll try to forget, or I guess I might not remember actually when I became "The Weakest Link". Was that Daytona? You'll have to let me know.

JIMS' family,
Jimmy was a wonderful friend and a marvelous paddler. We enjoyed many trips over the past several years. He was always sensitive to the environment. We had a trip planned for this week. I will miss him,as will all his paddling friends.
