I served with Jim in the 3-35th Infantry from 1979-1988. He was my platoon Sergeant in A Company and later my 1st Sergeant in C Company. A truly great soldier, friend, and mentor. I'm grateful to have been able to visit him last Friday before he passed. My deepest sympathies go out to his family and friends.
