Not sure what to say?

I just now have heard of Mr. O´looney´s passing. We were his next door neighbors on Springate street. Jim was such an amazing man. When I was younger me and my brother Brandon would get off the bus on our way home and would always stop to see Mr. Jim outside saying Hello to us and making us laugh... Him and Mrs. Diane were a big part of our childhood memories. Mr. Jim and Mrs. Diane would always invite us over for company and cookies. I wish we could´ve said goodbye before we moved... I...

I was walking the halls of MVCC and saw plaques honoring the recipients of the James O´Looney scholarship. I was happy my former mentored was being honored yet sad to hear he passed on. I remember Mr. O´Looney as a humble, gentle and very patient man. I had the privilege of studying under him in 1994-95. I´m glad he was able to enjoy many years of retirement surrounded by friends, family and Irish musicians. I´m also glad his life ended the way it was lived... very peacefully. My...

My deepest condolences to Mr. O´looneys entire extended family. He was one of the last great ones and, by the grace of God, through his most wonderful daughter Roisin, I had the honor of meeting him and watching him play quite lovely Irish music. The ripple of his legacy will transcend generations to come.

Dear Diane and family, I was saddened to learn just now of the passing of Jim. He was a gentleman. You and he treated us very well when we were training with GE in Utica in 1963-64. I well remember, and still play, some of the Ceili tunes that I learned from Jim in your back yard. It was a great privilege to have been able to return with my family to meet you again in Utica in 1973. Sincerest sympathies. Peter O'Leary, Malahide, Ireland.

I'm so sorry to hear of Mr. O'Looney's passing. He was such a good friend to my mom and and (Rene and Jean Vallieres). He had a quick smile and gracious attitude. He was a very sprecial man and I will always remember him as a kind and gentle person who loved life, God and his family.

Very sorry to hear of Mr O'Looney's passing. I was a student of his at MVCC and later worked with him at the Observer Dispatch. Went to the Irish Fest and listened to him play. He was a kind and friendly man. He had the Irish twinkle in his eyes. My thoughts and prayers are with his family
Sincerely

Dear Mrs. O'Looney and family,
I am so sorry for your loss. What a kind, generous, talented gentleman your Dad was. The O'Looney Family was always a family name often heard spoken of with heartfelt words in our home from my parents and siblings. Please know that I send my thoughts and prayers to all of you.
God Bless you all .

My deepest condolences to Diane and the beautiful family Jim leaves behind. I wish all of you the peace of GOD. Lucretia Zongrone
