Not sure what to say?

I think about Jim often and especially at this time of year. The number 31, Jim’s number, continues to be an important part of my life.
The surprise meeting of Jim facilitated by Greg Hoard was a special moment for me. I still enjoy baseball to this day and this is because of Jim O’Toole.

I still think of Jim often and how important he was in my life. People seem to enjoy the story about our meeting and I know I will never forget meeting Jim. Having been invited to his service and meeting his family was a highlight of my life. At the reception following his service, one of Jim´s daughters gave me a medal. At that time, I put it in my wallet and have carried it with me every day since then. I hope she is pleased to read of the importance I have placed on her gift, and that it...

As one of Jims biggest lifelong fans, I think of him often. I still have people who have read the story written by Greg Hoard about my meeting Jim, who tell me how inspirational it is.
It was an honor for the O Toole family to invite my wife and me to Jims service and celebration of his life at the Reds Museum. We wish the OToole family all the best.

A nice man and a great ambassador for baseball.Thoughts and Prayers for the O'Toole family. Ray Johnson

Aunt Betty and family, so very sorry at uncle Jim's passing, he will be missed.Prayers for you and your family. My memory of uncle Jim is coming there for a few summers when I was young and how much fun I had, and you all coming to Lake Delavan, we had so much fun being together. N

My condolences to the family of Jim O'Toole. I had the pleasure to meet him in 2012; he was a very nice man, and a very good pitcher. May he find eternal rest.

He was one of the reason I became a Reds fan. I would check the newspaper in 1961 and see that he won again. Sorry for your loss.

Dear Family, Having never met the man personally, I can only give my impressions of him through his family--specifically Jim. A funny, thoughtful, sincere and well-mannered young man. If you were going through a rough time he was right there for you. I miss seeing Jim and can only attribute his sensitivity to his parents: Loving, Caring People.
