Not sure what to say?

I had never really been a card player until moving in with the Oas family . Jim and Dottie had many different games ( back alley bridge, hearts, and others ) that we played on the weekends . I remember Jim was always fun and competitive and he taught that competitive spirit to the entire household. Anything Jim did , he was competitive in it ( cards, horseshoe throwing, fly fishing ,etc. ) . He also like to dance with Dottie ( whether it was square dancing or the polka ) . He always...

Fond memories of camping, lake trips, tote goat riding, card games and times with the families. And of course, I never knew Jim was a war hero because he was such a down to earth, funny guy. Loved his quick wit and big heart as he loved Dottie and his family. Prayers for all of you as you grieve this big loss.

So many fond memories of our times together camping with the tote goats, picnics at the lake with the Sennetts, dancing at the clubs with all the "old timers", and hearing the stories of the good ole days. What a life, loved by many. Gone, but never forgotten:)My condolences to the whole family, especially Dottie. Love you much, thanks for all the good times and for being part of the big family. So sorry I missed Jim's service, I was out of town.

I will never forget Uncle Jim taking our entire family into his home for over a year ( that made for 11 people living in one household with 8 kids , 3 adults and ONE bathroom ) while Jim was the breadwinner for all of us . That was the type of man Jim was. And I never once heard him complain. Of course Dottie had a major part in having us there also. I have always felt like I was part of the Oas's family and will certainly miss my "GREAT" uncle. Sorry I couldn't be there for the memorial.

Uncle Jim was one of a kind : one of the greatest generation . Cal and I admired his personality , grit , and fantastic sense of humor . A true family man who loved Dottie,Billie, Ed, Karen, Joe and Cheri and who opened up his home for many, many loved ones always. We will all miss you.

May your memories give you comfort.
Memory Eternal.
We love you guys. hugs

Fond memories when the "Oas' from Everett" came to visit Ed, Fritz, Ed (Peanut) and Carol on Maltby Road. It remains a wonderful childhood memory. Everyone happy and cheerful with Jim as the consummate cheer leader! God bless Jim and our heart felt condolences to Dottie, Carol and the rest of the Oas clan.
Doug Peterson and siblings from Maltby Rd.
