One of the Small Screen's great villains. Loved him in countless roles on TV in the 70's and 80's. Super-underrated actor. RIP, Mr. Olson-

A great actor. Regardless of the part, he always gave a memorable and believable performance. He deserved an OSCAR for his role in Ragtime.

Just bought a copy of Andromeda Strain - watched it, then saw him again on TCM same night in Rachel, Rachel. Fine actor, wonderful presence on screen.

Jim and I were classmates at Northwestern. There were occasions when we did improv together. His ability to assume a role was a gift and acting with him is a memory I savor. Read of his death today in the NU magazine.
