Not sure what to say?

I have only recently met Mr. Orthwein's wife, but I wish to extend my condolences to her and the entire Orthwein family. You will be in our thoughts and prayers. I have read up on Mr Orthwein in his passing, and he was a true gift for this world.

My father, Bob Johnson, worked closely with Mr. Orthwein for 25 years, joining D'Arcy in 1954. I never met him but learned a lot about him from my father. He was truly a St. Louis legend.

I met this great humanitarian many, many years ago and he left a lifelong impression on me. My prayers and sympathy to his loving family. He will be forever missed by all who knew him.

My mother, Elsie Scherck's dear friend and one of my favorite "uncles," I will treasure the memories of kindness, great good humor and support that came from Jim. Our love to his lovely wife Loris and family. Henry J Scherck III (Terry)

Mr. Orthwein made D'Arcy a nurturing place, and a creative work environment.

P.J., my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I considered Jim Orthwein a friend, both personally and professionally. Having met him late in his life, I will always remember his humor, generosity, and attention to detail - to name a few. My condolences go to his family as he was a man I truly admired and who will be missed by those who knew him well.

my dad's first cousin Jimmy was a lovely artist. i wish i had known him better, and his children whom i have yet to meet.
