Not sure what to say?

Mr. James Otterness was a great man. He supported and believed in my potential to become a U.S. Army Warrants Officer and it changed my life. He was a retired Chief Warrant Officer 5 when he endorsed me. Less than 3% of all Army Warrant Officers will ever achieve that rank. Remarkable, indeed. The fact that he wrote it even while retired speaks volumes to his legacy that his name still rang loudly in the halls of Army senior leaders. I remember Jim at the University of Arizona back in the 1970's when we had a Chinese class together. We also worked together at the UA Science library. He was a good friend. We lost contact over the years and I didn't know about his later illness. Rest in Peace, my friend!

There was a time when Jim and I jumped out of airplanes together. He was a fine man and an excellent soldier; we lost contact when we both moved on to assignments that sent us to some desolate places. Requiescat im pace, my friend. John

A great mentor, friend and man. I will always be thankful for what Jim did for me and grateful that our lives crossed paths. Heaven has a great Solider and Soul. Gods blessings always my friend. Jim will never be forgotten.

May you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends. May you find peace and strength in this time of loss - Acts 25:15

My heart goes out to you Elaine and your family. I loved working with Jim and always enjoyed my visits with both of you. Thank you God for finally healing Jim and welcoming him home. May you surround Elaine with Your peace and comfort that surpasses all understanding

My condolences to your family during this difficult time. May the promise in 1 Thessalonians 4:14 comfort your family.
