I have fond memories of Jim from Windy City music. I was a teenager, taking guitar lessons there, and Jim was (to me) the friendly, Hip, cool store owner. Super nice guy. In retrospect, he probably wasn´t that many years older than me. But I remember him and the store fondly. I´ve remained a musician to this day, so I consider him an important part of my youth and musical journey. Sorry to find that he has passed, but even to this guy who only knew him briefly, he had an important impact on...

Time passes so quickly. I still remember Jim my cool cousin, trumpet playing brother and an asset to this world while we had him. Love to the family and friends. Miss you Jim.

Eileen & Family, I just wanted to let you know what an amazing man Jim was. He was a great boss at the Empress, and terrific friend who always had time for you. He was always ready with a smile, joke or encouragement when you needed it most. He listened to me and talked with me when my father had kidney cancer many years ago. I am so sorry for your loss, Jim will be greatly missed.
