I have had the privilege of knowing Jim Pappas and his wonderful family since 1973. With Jim´s passing, we have lost not only an extraordinary coach and administrator, but also a mentor, leader, and dear friend. Tina,George and families, I was saddened to hear of your Dads passing.It was a blessing to get to know him better and be of some assistance to him in his last few months in Ellensburg.Hope you all know how much he loved you and how proud he was of his family.One of the good guys in this world he had such a positive impact on so many and his influence will be missed.Definately a life well lived.

Jim embodied service in its purest form. He didn´t just believe in helping others-he lived it every day. His words were matched by his actions, his promises kept by his footsteps. With his passing, our community has lost more than a neighbor; we have lost a source of strength, compassion, and unwavering dedication.

Or deepest condolences to the Pappas family and friends! My mother, Gloria Craig, worked with Jim at CWU for many years, as did I for a few years. He was a wonderful and accomplished professional! A life very well lived!

Tina, I've been heartbroken since hearing about your Dad. He was my Coach, mentor and friend. When I came to Chicago State, he welcomed me with poen arms! I loved your Dad as he unconditionally accepted me into the fold! I will cherish the wonderful memories of him. I'm glad I got the chance to meet you,your mom and George over 40 years ago. I am forever grateful to your Dad and I am so glad that Derrick Hardy, Derrill Digby and me flew out to Washington to surprise visit him 2 years ago....
