I am deeply saddened today to hear of Jim's passing. I've often told my daughter about this boy Jimmy Parra from elementary school with whom I would always compete for classroom president and vice-president (we usually ended up rotating these positions between us!) He was always quite brilliant and a really nice guy.

I remember meeting up with him much later, this time in Wisconsin during our college years, when he introduced me to bratwurst!

I am so sad to hear of Jim's passing. I went to Santa fe High and met him and Steve Lopez because they both took classes there to get classes they needed to go to college. Jim was like a brother to me. Big ole teddy bear. Great laugh and smile, which he was always doing. I saw him last when my grandmother was passing about 4 years ago. We had a good laugh over old times. We said we should call each other and catch up. We never did both of us too busy to take the time. I'm sure sorry...

Sorry to hear that Jim passed away. He was a good neighbor and freind of our family The Quintana's. He lived next door to us for quit a few years.My condolences to his family and parents.

I'm so sorry to hear that Jim passed away. My condolences to the family. I played football with Jim as he was the quarterback for De Vargas j. h. school and I also went through High School with him in Santa Fe. We lived and grew up in the same neighborhood. Jim was always trying new things and always had a robust laugh. He had a way of getting the most out of the day with such finesse. I always knew Jim as a scholar and an athlete.
