I knew Jim when he was my music instructor at San Diego City College. He was passionate about music and I will always remember him. He sparked my career as a composer of music as I was writing solo piano pieces at the time, without composition lessons which began much later after a move to Honolulu. Jim was my professor at San Diego City College waaaay back in the1970´s. I lost contact for many years, but thankfully tracked him down and visited him several times when in the Seattle area, over the past 6 years, or so. He was such a nice man and was a wonderful teacher and consummate musician. I have so many good memories of our times together and will always remember him fondly. Rest In Peace Jim.
