Not sure what to say?

May God bless Elbert's family in this time of sorry and help each one heal as they cherish Elbert's life. I worked with Elbert in 1973 when he first came to TVA at Brown's Ferry. I was an Operator for TVA and Elbert was a Startup Engineer. Elbert and I hit it off really good and had a lot of fun working together. We both helped each other along the way. Elbert's background was in Electrical Engineering, and he was very knowledgeable in his field. I knew the plant systems, component ...

Alabama will long miss Elbert Peters' leadership in the party and on civic boards and commissions.

I knew Mr. Peters in late years, when he served on the Alabama Public Library Service Executive Board. He was a good board member and understood the important role that libraries have in local communities. He also paid homage to his small-town roots. May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived. Nancy C. Pack, Director Alabama Public Library Service.

We are unable to attend the visitation or the funeral, however we will be thinking of the Peters Family and sending up prayers for them. Our Mother / Mother In Law, Martha Foy was the RNC National Committee Woman from Alabama during the same time period that Elbert was ALGOP Chairman. Even though we didn't know him as well as she did, we have always appreciated his willingness to serve as a very valuable member of the Alabama GOP. Martha lives in Dothan AL and celebrated her 92nd Birthday in...

Mr. Petets was a real gentleman in every sense of the word. I learned a great deal from him in our discussions about politics, and we had some great conversations about spiritual things as well. He also had a great sense of humor. He was a very interesting man, and his was truly a life well lived. My sincerest condolences to Jim, Carol, and the rest of the family.

We are sorry to hear of his passing but what a legacy he leaves behind. Don & Martha

On behalf of IEEE-Eta Kappa Nu, our sincere condolences.

Because of the many monthly GOP breakfast & lunch gatherings, several men and women and their families were able to meet our state & county elected officials. This important one on one contact gave us a good idea of what was going on both in Montgomery & in D.C. straight from "the horses mouth". The of meeting potential candidates for county and statewide elections were helpful in getting out the vote. Thanks to Elbert's organization skills and others who volunteered to do the calling ,...

Margie and I were very sorry to hear of the death of Elbert. Anyone in Alabama connected to the GOP knew of Elbert, his contributions were that remarkable. He was the major leader of the Madison County Republicans Men´s Club and could garner the support of many individuals to help make that club what it is today. One did not want to disappoint Elbert if he asked you to do something. He will be misses by all. Our condolences to his family.
