He was one of my closest friends even though in High school football he and Howard Brown tackled me and broke my leg the Monday before our State playoff game Thanksgiving day 1948 with Grand Junction. He was my room mate the last two years of college at Colo A&M. We seldom visited in later years and that was a huge error !... May God Bless his family.

What a wonderful person. I cherish my childhood memories of Christmas dinners with cousin Jim and the Phelps family. I will miss him yet I know he is in a better place along side is Daughter Shari and Wife Pam. My prayers of comfort are with his sons, Doug and Ron and their family.
