Not sure what to say?

Dr. Philp taught me more about the medical examination of patients than any other teacher or book ever did. His knowledge, learned in Scotland before the use of labs and CT scans, was passed on to me at the bedside. Look, feel, smell, and listen. The patient will reveal his health or illness. Brilliant teaching that has helped me save lives. I think of him often as the practice of medicine leads me to listen. God's blessings to all.

The forever Scottish twinkle eyes.

Dear Elizabeth and family,
It was such a shock to learn that Jim has died. He has always been such a "presence" in the world, and had such an impact on my life--both personally and professionally. I shall remember the good times.

Dear Elizabeth and family,

Sandee and I extend our heartfelt condolences in your loss of your beloved husband and father, Jim. His contributions as an educator and your contributions as a caring physician are long remembered by those of us who worked with you both at Wake Forest University. May your many memories and the support of friends and family bring you peace and comfort.

Warmest regards,

Dear Dr. Philp (Elizabeth) and family: Please accept my heartfelt condolences on Dr. Philp's death. He will be missed. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. May the Peace of Christ be with you. Jim

Dear Aunty Elizabeth and family ,We were all shocked to hear the sad news about Uncle Jimmy.Thinking of you always and especially at this time ,lots of love Carol,Anton Sharon and Gerald.xxx

Dr Elizabeth Philp and Family, May God give you peace and comfort during this difficult time. You were my doctor a long time ago and no other can replace you. I still miss you.

Dear Elizabeth and family,
We were so sorry to hear of Jim's death. We fondly remember attending the Robbie Burns dinner (and eating the haggis!) at Graylyn, and the wonderful New Years Eve parties at your home (one to which John wore his kilt BACKWARDS!). I also remember winning the beer questionnaire contest at the CAME meeting in Ottawa, to Jim's chagrin.
You were my first woman family physician, and because of my admiration for you and your skills, I've had nothing else since....

Dr Dillon,
I'm so sad to hear about your dad. I'm praying for you and your family's comfort and peace.
