Not sure what to say?

Well...It has almost been a year. I miss you so much dad. I know that they take the guest books down after a year so I just wanted to thank everyone for their kind words. If anyone sees this...thank you. This guest book got me through a few very tough days. It's nice to look through it and read words from people who saw my dad the way that I did. I hope that everyone is well. Thanks again:)

Here it is May, and I just found out about Jim's passing. I'm so sorry for your loss. Nova Law has so few good Professors, and he was one of the best. Many will miss what he had to offer.

Dear Wendy and family: Rosanne and I were deeply saddened to hear of Jim's death. This guest book and the many friends and family who attended his memorial service are a tribute to Jim's life. His generosity and love for all people, and especially young people, are a wonderful legacy. We remember fondly our visits to Florida years ago. You and Jim always made time to spend with us, despite the demands of your jobs and raising a young family.
Our hearts go out to you, the children and the...

I would like to express by deepest condolences to the family of Professor Pilkey for his untimely passing. I truly enjoyed and remember Professor Pilkey’s special teaching approach. As a practitioner and a teacher, he was able to combine legal theory with the true and candid realities of law practice. These teachings helped me be prepared for my first clerkship in a law firm and will always be remembered. Professor Pilkey will be greatly missed.

Dear Wendy, Alysha, Samantha, Campbell and all the Bell and Pilkey family members: I am sorry about the passing of Jim. He got me my first job in the legal world working for the firm in Miami, Taylor Bryant etc. with Jeff. This was twenty-five years ago and I remember Jim as a confident, articulate young man. A young lion. He will always stay that way in my mind.

I am truly sorry for his passing.

Love,

Bruce Vetri

Christmas, New Years, Passover, Birthdays and everyday will never be the same. We love and miss you

Dear Wendy, Alysha, Samantha, Campbell and all the Bell and Pilkey family members: After being friends and neighbors with you all for over 20 years, Jim's presence will be sorely missed. Watching our kids grow up together, and spending countless New Year's Eve parties together, listening to Jim play the guitar and lead our sing-alongs, leave happy memories for us all. We loved his soft-spoken demeanor, and his eagerness to talk with interest to us all. May his memory be for a blessing and may...
