Not sure what to say?

To brother Pitmon's family, especially John & Dotty,

How shocked and sadden James & I were to learn of Brother Pit's death. Now here is a man I'll miss tremendously when I come home to St. Stephen. Always wearing that big grin on his face, ever present with a piece of news or some funny comment, James truly made me always happy to see him. And now he's gone. Unbelievable. We love Brother Pit and know you do too. Earth has no sorrow heaven cannot heal...

To the entire Pitmon family,
I thank God for having spent time with such a GREAT man. Mr. Pitmon has been a blessing in my life. He showed me one of the most valuable lessons I could ever learn (because I watched him do it)and that is while going through trials and tribulations these 4 words come to mind, "Stand Tall & Trust God." Mr. Pitmon you stood tall and you trusted God! You will be missed!

Mr. James Pitmon Sr. Husband, Father, Mentor, Counselor, Friend...
I could provide so many more labels to the man of God-don't have the space. Our loss, heaven's gain. One of the pillars of St. Stephen, the California Community, and the city of Louisville. I will miss you-truly.

Bro. Pitmon was truly a man of God here at the Stephen. I was blessed to grow up under the leadership of Bro. & Sis. Pitmon, and taught Doug in the Sunday School dept.; later I worked with both of them in the Church. The Trustee Board will truly miss him, He was and ever will be a part of all that's good here at the Stephen: Godliness & Servant. To the Family, We all loved Bro. Pitmon, and remembered him saying, "I gotta take care of Mama (Sis. Pitmon)," and he did to the end. Absence...

To the Pitmon family: To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose unnder the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die (2Cor 3:1&2). You are in our thoughts and prayers. We loved Mr Pitmon very much.

My Beloved father and "Leader of the Band"

BROTHER PITMAN FOUGHT A GOOD FIGHT. THROUGH THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF CHRIST JESUS HE DID THE BEST HE COULD AND "GOD" FOUND NO FAULT IN HIM, BECAUSE OF "THE BLOOD." I THANK "GOD" FOR THE CALL ON HIS LIFE. AS HE IS NOW WITHN HIS "HEAVENLY FATHER","LORD JESUS CHRIST" AND "THOSE WHOM HE LOVES." MAY THE LIVING BE BLESSED TILL HE ARE ALL BEFORE THE "SPLENDOR OF OUR SAVIOR AND HIS THE GLORY OF "HIS FACE."

Yeah, a giant of a man was this man of God. But he walked with a heart that was much bigger. A quiet and humble man was Bro Pittman but his belief and and faith in God always sounded off. If we all could be half the man he is. He is because a little of Bro. Pittman will always be with us. God surely sent
a mighty man in Bro. Pittman.
"Cheers to a Mighty Man"
Praise God!!!!
