Not sure what to say?

My deepest condolences to the Pond Family. I worked for Mr. Pond at GDLS MTC for many years between numerous deployments to Iraq. Every time I came back to work, he just treated me with more love and respect. I am retired myself now. I am so sorry I just heard of his passing. I live in TN but I would certainly have made to trip to pay my respects. RIP Mr. Pond,... fellow vet and engineer.

So very sorry for your loss. May God´s peace find a place into your heart even in these challenging times. I think looking back on such a great man´s life can bring some solace. As I look back on my memories of Jim I can almost see him. He is giving me some great advice on engineering while standing outside the tech center. He is smiling as he explains a new idea and how cool it will be. I can hear him calling someone to his office. He was always mentoring. Actually, it was more like...

My sincerest condolences to Charlotte and Jenny. I was very fortunate to get to know Mr. Pond not only in a professional capacity, but also at a personal level as well. I can not remember a single conversation we had that did not involve 3 topics: whatever combat vehicle issue we were hashing out, Charlotte, and Jenny. Although he lived and breathed defense technology, it was very clear that his family was just as important. I always enjoyed the stories he told of adventures with Charlotte,...

Most importantly, my condolences to Jim´s Family and Friends. These are always hard times no matter how long or blessed a loved one´s life may have been. Working for Jim was probably the most challenging yet enjoyable time of my career. So many discussions/arguments while sitting in his office. All motivated by technology and what was best for the soldier, never about his own political or career aspirations. Jim was, indeed, a rare breed in corporate America! I learned so much during the time...

Charlotte and Jen, Lauri and I are so sorry for your loss. He was a good man, and may memories of him bring you comfort.

Jim´s intellect, creativity, passion, devotion and engineering skills were responsible for the many jobs and career learning experiences at the Tech Center and Getty street. He came to Teledyne with the hydrodynamic suspension concept and integrated his ideas and concepts into multiple programs and projects. His work included the integration of the low profile turret into the Stryker vehicle, the development on the hybrid electric vehicle and the 8x8 concept. Every program seemed to have...

It was always a learning experience and a pleasure to work for Jim Pond. Jim was the ultimate example of the guy who never worked a day in his life because of the passion he had for his work.

My condolences for your loss. Never had the occasion to meet Jim but he sounds like a very special person. Nancy Wells, West Lake.
