Mr. Porter ruled FDR. He was highly respected. He was stern but you learn. The one and only Mr. Porter!

The memories we all have of our days at FDR will last forever. Science classes, donkey ball, class field trips, summer Florida trips, Cedar Point trips, candy sales to buy uniforms, coaching days at Patrick Henry Field, Kappa vrs Omega conversations, desegregation days, family events....all of these things created memories in students, faculty and families that will never be forgotten. I miss you...we ALL miss you but we cherish the memories. We all are better people for knowing the stern...

My mother is Sandra Williams attended F.D.R Middle School and Glenville High School. Mr. Porter was one of my mother teacher who knew and cared for me way before I attended Glenville High myself as graduated in 1992. Mr. Porter is so loved and missed. RIP

Three (3) years? Seems like yesterday. Few weeks have passed without thoughts of you & memories of our close friendship. Your Obituary is always within Reach three yeas later! There is nothing left to say! I thank God for the day we met in 1959 as teachers at F.D.R. Jr H.S. I watched your children, Michelle, J.R and Nikki grow up from babies to teenagers.
