Not sure what to say?

My late Daddy, James Byos "Jim" Preacher Man" McLaughlin, (1914 - 1984) thought so much of Mr. Powell. Daddy worked for him for many years. I even recall Daddy going to pray for Mr. Powell. Condolences to all his family.

One of the proudest moments of my life was having Uncle James go on about the tomatoes that I brought to a family reunion. Haven't grown tomatoes so large or tasty since that summer. That's my goal every year since- grow tomatoes Uncle James would compliment. The Creator gave Uncle James the gift to cultivate the younger generations by his kind attention and example. Never known a greater man than him.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. James. Each of you are in our thoughts and prayers. God bless.

James was a very special person to me on Thursdays in the 1980s at Clarks Livestock in Bossier City. We ate a lot of lunches together and set together during the cow part of the sale.
I regret loosing touch with him over the years.
I am sorry for your loss.

The Final Salute

Brothers in Arms, Military men and women down through the centuries, have traditionally exchanged Hand Salutes as a sign of recognition and as a way to render courtesy and respect one to another.

This Hand Salute is the last that we shall render to James Anderson Powell, Sr. our Brother-in-Arms. To his family it symbolizes the love and respect that we have for James. And to James it is rendered as a symbol of honor and gratitude to thank him for the devoted...

I have known Mr. Powell for 43 years. I will always remember him as a kind soul with a big heart, with unquestionable faith. He will surely be missed by all who knew him. I know he is with his Lord and savior now.

James was a fine christian man a friend of many years. He will be missed in our community and by his sweet family. Sincere sympathy. Have safe passage home!

I'm so saddened to hear of Mr. James' passing. He and Mary Neill were wonderful, kind people. There's a celebration in heaven today as God has gained another angel.

My prayers are with each of you during this difficult time. Mr. James lived a life full of caring and giving to many, he was always there to lend a helping hand to those that were in need .
