Not sure what to say?

Jim was a valued and special friend. We met when I was a student at Salem State. We shared some epic road trips, but the best memory occurred on April 20, 1979. On that date, Jim married my wife, Patti, and me. We were fortunate to see him before he passed. I still think of him often.

Jim remains in my every day thoughts. He was great man in many ways. KR

Jim was a simply a wonderful human being. He will forever be remembered fondly by so many.

It´s hard to believe that it has been two years since I posted in your guestbook. Thank you, Fr Jim for all your contributions to SSU and for a life well-lived.

This morning I was lying in bed waking up and was listening to music on my phone. Mostly songs from the 60's - 70's, Tom Rush, Judy Collins, Joni Mitchell, etc. Suddenly a version of Both Sides Now came on by Joni Mitchell. It is a beautiful version and one I'd never heard before. This strong always evokes fond memories of Jim Power for me as the Judy Collins version was practically the theme song for the Sunday Night Mass group that gathered on the 4th floor of the Salem State library each...

Rest In Peace (again), Fr Jim. I wish I had connected with you at SSC in 1971-73. I could have used your worldly guidance.

I think about Jim frequently. I find myself using some of his favorite lines including; You're a hot ticket! You're way ahead of me. Peace brother. We've not been here before. Jim helped me recognize when I was in a conversation that was asking more of me as a person.

As your anniversary is approaching I just wanted to know you are deeply missed still yo this day. Love and miss you Jim!

Just found out about Father Jim's passing . I attended Salem State from 1971-73. Fr Jim was always at the games and at "The Grid". A real genuine person. Good to see Jim Grout's and Ken Rickson's notes. Rest in peace, Fr Jim.
