I don't know the family; however, after reading the obituary on Mr. Walmer, I just had to post a thank you to him for his service to our country. I don't believe that our veterans get anything close to the recognition and appreciation they deserved. My prayers and thoughts are with this family during this time of grief. And I hope more people realize that we've all lost another great American.

Just want to let you know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. I always enjoyed speaking to your dad in the little German that I knew. He was such a sweet man, I will miss our visits in the halls at Homeland. They may have been short visits, but they were always filled with a lot of love.
