Not sure what to say?

On this Memorial Day, in the year of 2020, I want your family to know I still think of my childhood friend often, and my children have grown up seeing his picture on our wall, and knowing the story of one of their Mommys biggest hero. I will never forget James, his beautiful family, or the huge rainbow covering the church when we stepped outside at the end of his service. Praying for his mother,Aunt, Grandma, and the rest of his family extra hard today. Thank you James, for giving ALL so that...

Today, I found this site and Fallen Heroes Memorial. Odd how God works sometimes as I was thinking about James, Rosy, Fred, CPT O, and Yogi the other day. I am very sorry for the pain you are suffering for the loss of James. He IS always a "good kid" to me and one that I was very glad to have served with. He is and will always be missed.

The Wind on The Downs

“I like to think of you as brown and tall,
As strong and living as you used to be,
In khaki tunic, Sam Brown belt and all,
And standing there and laughing down at me.
Because they tell me, dear, that you are dead,
Because I can no longer see your face,
You have not died, it is not true, instead
You seek adventure in some other place.
That you are round about me, I believe;
I hear you...
