I am deeply saddened to hear of Jim's passing. He was a friend of mine from our days in music school at CLeveland State University. I still have memories of his magnificent talent back then (once saw him conduct the CSU Orchestra from the keyboards playing a Beethoven concerto). My condolences to his family.

I have such wonderful memories of Jim being classmates at Penn! It has been a while since we saw each other, but it was so easy and so warm and caring, it's as if we were never out of touch... The things I remember about Jim are so similiar to those who knew him: Warm, caring, a helpful resource, and above all, his tremendous talent that he shared in his music and his teaching and his friendship... He will not be forgotten but will be deeply missed. To Mary and his children...our thoughts...
